I then formed one small band in my newly built garage with the idea that we would become a guitar band. It showed to be a bit limited in the number of songs, so we also picked up some vovals.<\/p>\n We played many Spotnicks songs as decent covers. Through The Spotnicks Swedish Fan Club, I got to know members of Spotnicks. In recent years, there have not been as many public gigs for our band. \nI have liked Spotnicks since the early 60’s and I also liked Shadows as well.
\nThe idea or dream of once being able to play guitar and preferably electric guitar was born there.<\/p>\n
\nEventually we got offers to play at private parties and then we needed a lot of danceable songs.
\nWe also had the opportunity to play for a paying audience at the Jazz House in Gothenburg in 1990.
\nWe played several times a year for 20 years and we got good publicity in the press and appeared on radio and TV.<\/p>\n
\nI also became a bit of a helper for the group at various gigs and was sometimes a sound engineer.
\nI was with when the original group was reunited and did a short tour and also when Bo Winberg came back from Spain and restarted Spotnicks via Papa O`.
\nHe then borrowed the equipment I bought from him.<\/p>\n
\nWe have recorded a cassette tape and two CDs.
\nAs a curiosity, it can be mentioned that Hans Wahlstr\u00f6m and Douglas M\u00f6ller, with a past in The Spotnicks, have both participated in the band.<\/p>\n
\nThe group’s equipment includes e.g. an Ampeg amplifier that has belonged to Bo Winberg.<\/p>\n
\nIn our repertoire we always have some Spotnicks songs, which are also our favorites such as. Last date, Johnny Guitar and Jessica.<\/p>\n
